Shorts and Testimonials

A collection of projects completed both during and after my time as a film student at Montana State University in Bozeman.

Miscontraceptions

Completed in the spring of 2014, Miscontraceptions is a short documentary centering on women's fertility. Through interviews and personal experiences, director Cassie Moriarty exposes her audience to alternative methods of birth control. Maxwell acted as the producer on this project, organizing the fundraising campaign, coordinating travel and shooting schedules, as well as assisting with final distribution.

Director's Cut | An Interview with Paul Monaco

Completed in April of 2015 as part of the academic program in the School of Film & Photography at Montana State University, this project serves as a reflective interview with the School of Film & Photography's longest-serving director, Paul Monaco. Maxwell wrote and edited the project, with support from two other classmates for camera and lighting.

Medical Lab Sciences at Montana State University

Commissioned by the Medical Lab Sciences program at Montana State University in the spring of 2017, this short testimonial piece tells the story of the students experience at Montana's flagship research university. It is currently used as a recruitment tool for interested prospective students. Maxwell wrote, shot, edited, and distributed this piece in its entirety.

Residence | Life

Commissioned by the Office of Residence Life at Montana State University in the spring of 2016, this short testimonial piece reflects on the trials, tribulations, and incredible experiences of the 2015-2016 school year though the eyes of Residence Life employees and students. Maxwell wrote, shot, edited, and distributed this piece in its entirety.

Latino Scholars of Promise

Completed in the spring of 2015, this project was a collaboration between the Department of Modern Languages and the School of Film & Photography at Montana State University. The Latino Scholars of Promise program engages young students of Latino descent in the Bozeman, Montana area and provides them with information and access to counseling for higher education opportunities. Working with representatives in both departments, Maxwell acted as the producer and project manager, working with a crew of four students to deliver the video in time for the spring and summer recruitment sessions.
